Holiday program
In obedience to scripture Isaiah 54:13 All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children. It was found prudent to utilize the holiday seasons for our youth’s mentorship and discipleship. As such since the last term of 2016, the younger people have been engaged in various ways at GFM prayer house. For example, there have been customized bible studies, general fellowships, topical bible studies, be-fitting and educative movies, dance among others. As a result, the youth have been spiritually built, connect with each and even the parents get to know each other on a more personal level. The leadership has financially invested in the youth to ensure they eat well while during this time. Averagely there are 20 children every holiday, depending on a number of factors.
Babies born
In the course of the 12 months, God the giver of life has given some of the GFM parents awesome gifts of children. During the expectation time, a lot goes on in every family but joy comes overflowing when families receive that awaited new member. The good news is that when this happens so does GFM family expands and indeed God’s Kingdom. Seven times have we received the good news of the latest entrants on planet earth and indeed we thank the Lord who makes those miracles happen.
Babies dedicated
Hannah in the OT made a statement, followed by an action in 1 Samuel 1:26-28 She said, “Oh, my lord! As your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman who stood here beside you, praying to the LORD. “For this boy I prayed, and the LORD has given me my petition which I asked of Him. “So, I have also dedicated him to the LORD; as long as he lives he is dedicated to the LORD ” And he worshiped the LORD there. Just as Hannah brought her son Samuel for dedication, GFM has had this privilege time and again to do what the Priest did to baby Samuel. It’s a biblical practice that has brought even more spiritual satisfaction to the God seeking parents and the Ministry leadership. As such it was thrilling for seven pairs of parents how came forward and committed their little ones to the Jehovah- God.
Immersion baptism
On September 29, 2016 GFM’s very first candidate, Eva was baptized in water per the scriptures (Mathew 3:13-17). It was such a glorious moment for Eva and all those who graced the occasion. The fact that the Ministry has not yet got the necessary facilities, at a fee the event did happen at Ntinda swimming pool.
